FR (biometric facial recognition)

CORTROL FR (Face Recognition) is a biometric face recognition algorithm using neural networks. The software requires the activation of an FR licence and works with the CORTROL Premier and Global editions.

The biometric technology implemented in the FR module guarantees very high efficiency and speed of the system. The software enables the analysis and identification of faces “on the fly”, i.e. in areas of high passenger traffic. The FR algorithm performs 1-to-1 and 1-to-many comparisons.

  • very high efficiency thanks to an algorithm using neural networks.
  • statistical estimators for RETAIL – the algorithm automatically estimates selected features based on the face, including age, gender, mood (facial expression).
  • second place in the NIST leaderboard in the 1:1 FRVT verification test and exceptionally high scores in the 1:N FRVT test.
  • very low error rate regardless of skin colour, facial expression, partial visibility of the face, changes in appearance (hairstyle, glasses, beard, protective mask, etc.).

The CORTROL FR (Face Recognition) software is the ideal solution for many applications requiring personnel control, access control or additional security in restricted areas. It is also a reliable tool for the immediate detection of wanted persons who are registered in the system on a so-called “black list”.
